About the project
Thess INTEC is set to become the driving force behind Thessaloniki's transformation into a leading regional hub for research and innovation. It aims to be the premier destination for multinational and Greek innovative companies looking to establish operations in Southeast Europe.
This state-of-the-art innovation center is a private sector initiative, supported by the Municipality and the State, and will be developed on a prime waterfront location spanning 760,000 sqm in the municipality of Thermaikos, near the airport. Designed to foster knowledge sharing, the campus will feature cutting-edge facilities, including industrial laboratories, advanced computing and machinery resources, a large-scale incubator and accelerator, flexible office spaces, co-working and networking areas, as well as a conference center and various educational and recreational amenities.
The strategic alliance between Focal and Neapoli is leading the effort to secure LEED Gold certification for Phase A of the development, covering a state-of-the-art building complex spanning 10,400 sqm. Upon completion, Thess INTEC will feature 230,000 sqm of built-up area, with all future structures required to meet LEED certification standards, underscoring its commitment to sustainability and innovation.
