Design, financing, maintenance and facility management of a telematics system, aiming to solve numerous problems arising from the existing transportation system
About the project
Focal was appointed as the Lenders Technical Advisor (LTA) for the Integrated Telematics System of the Athens Urban Transport PPP, by the SPV of the Project ’Advanced Transport Telematics SA” that was formed by Intrasoft International SA / Intrakat SA and by the "Athens Urban Transport Organization (OASA) S.A.".
The scope of the Project involves the design, financing, maintenance and facility management of a telematics system that shall provide information to the users of the Athens Thermal Bus Company (ETHEL) and of the Electric Buses of Athens and Piraeus (ILPAP) and shall manage their fleet of vehicles. The total duration of the PPP Project is 12 years.
This PPP project is part of the strategic targets of "Athens Urban Transport Organization" and aims to solve a great number of problems arising from the existing system, by upgrading the quality of the civil transport, the working conditions of the staff involved and the services provided to the users of the buses of the greater Athens area.
