K. Dekavallas, an intellectual of architecture

A versatile architect, urban planner, intellectual and thinker, professor for a number of years at NTUA, Konstantinos Dekavallas passed away at the age of 98. He was one of the protagonists of the post-war architectural spring in Greece and his work, multidimensional and in dialogue with nature and the environment, the arts and the inherited experience, has left a strong imprint not only in terms of material but also as ideas. He had designed large projects, apartment buildings, bank branches, mansions and villas for some close friends. He had given birth to a body of work and thought.
