Senior Architect / Site Representative

Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Architect / Site Representative to join our client-side team on a high-profile hospitality development in Porto Heli. This role offers the opportunity to act as the Employer’s representative on site, supporting quality assurance, contractor monitoring and technical delivery throughout execution and handover.

Summary

The Senior Architect / Site Representative acts as the Client-side representative on site, overseeing construction activities and monitoring General Contractor performance throughout execution and handover phases. Working closely with the Focal Construction Manager, Client, Consultants and Contractor teams, the role ensures works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, programme requirements and contractual obligations.

Key accountabilities:
  • Monitor and oversee day-to-day construction activities across all active work fronts to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements
  • Act as Client-side representative on site, monitoring contractor performance, technical compliance and quality standards
  • Review shop drawings, material submissions and technical documentation for compliance, completeness and constructability
  • Monitor quality assurance and quality control procedures, identifying non-conformances and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
  • Conduct regular site inspections and maintain accurate progress, quality and photographic records
  • Manage and follow up RFIs, technical queries, change requests and Contractor submissions
  • Coordinate with Consultants and specialist teams including Structural, MEP, geotechnical, other Specialist Consultants, LEED and commissioning disciplines
  • Support mock-up reviews, sample approvals and material inspections
  • Lead snagging, testing, commissioning and handover activities through project close-out
  • Monitor contractor defect rectification and completion of outstanding works
  • Review handover documentation including as-built records, O&M manuals and close-out submissions
  • Prepare and issue clear reporting on project progress, quality performance, risks and key site matters
  • Capture lessons learned and site observations to support continuous improvement

Work Environment

This role requires continuous presence on site. The Senior Architect / Site Representative is expected to conduct regular inspections, attend coordination meetings and monitor construction activities throughout all project phases. Occasional travel to project-related meetings or regional locations may be required.

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Architecture or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including significant on-site construction or site supervision experience
  • Proven experience on high-end hospitality, residential or mixed-use developments
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, detailing, materials and sequencing
  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings and specifications, and coordinate amongst those
  • Familiarity with Greek construction regulations, permitting procedures and industry standards
  • Experience with LEED or equivalent sustainability certification processes
  • Proficiency in MS Office, document management systems and construction coordination platforms
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM and project management platforms
  • Excellent command of Greek and English, oral and written
  • Strong reporting, documentation and organizational skills
  • Greek residence permit
