Site Engineer

Overview:

We are looking for a Site Engineer (all disciplines) to support the construction of a large-scale commercial and mixed-use development project in Ellinikon. The role focuses on on-site supervision, contractor coordination and inspections, ensuring that works are delivered according to scope, timeline, quality and safety standards.

Key accountabilities:
  • Site Supervision & Progress Monitoring: Oversee daily construction activities, verify execution against approved drawings, specifications, and method statements, and track progress against the baseline schedule, reporting deviations.
  • Technical Review & Contractor Coordination (Advisory): Review drawings, RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals; resolve discrepancies with design teams and provide structured feedback on contractor and subcontractor performance.
  • Quality, H&S, Environmental & Compliance Oversight: Verify compliance with quality, H&S, environmental, and sustainability requirements, witness hold/witness points and participate in site and off-site inspections (incl. outside Attica, e.g., prefabricated elements), escalating non-conformities.
  • Reporting & Issue Identification: Maintain daily site diaries and structured technical reports within the project's CD, promptly flag issues, risks, or delays and support corrective actions.
  • Financial & Contractual Oversight: Monitor executed quantities and cost variances, review contractor payment requests, and support the technical assessment of claims, variations, and contract compliance (specifications, sequencing, milestones).
  • Interface, Risk, Logistics & Commissioning Support: Coordinate (advisory) with design teams, utilities, authorities, and third parties. Monitor construction risks and site logistics in a multi-contractor environment. Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover inspections.

 

Working Conditions

  • Construction schedule (to be covered in shifts): 8 hours/day - 6 days/week (7:00-18:00 Mon–Fri, 7:00-16:00 Sat)
  • Flexibility for shift planning and overlapping coverage
  • Some inspections may take place outside of working hours
  • Full-time on-site presence (no remote)
  • Travel outside Attica (expenses covered)

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supervising roles in construction projects
  • Experience in large-scale or similar mixed-use developments
  • Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
  • Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken
  • Familiarity with BIM / Revit, CDE / Aconex, Primavera P6 is a plus
