Panathinaikos FC Stadium

The project concerns a 40.000 seat football stadium, incorporating state of the art facilities and an impressive arched steel roof structure. The complex includes extensive commercial spaces, service area and underground parking. The construction of the stadium and the surrounding infrastructure facilities were part of a brown field rehabilitation project, agreed between the Athens F.C and the City Mayor. Focal provided a full array of pre-construction services such as designers' procurement, contracts management, design review and coordination with the input of specialists including the Amsterdam Arena Advisory consultants and Salgado architectural design office from Portugal. Extensive multi-level reporting was consolidated by regular budgeting and design schedule monitoring tasks. Finally, Focal collaborated with the legal team to draft a complex multi-level "design development and build" contract framework between the Client and the appointed General Contractor.
