Senior Cost Engineer
Overview:
FOCAL PM is currently seeking a Cost Engineer to join the Athens team. This team oversees the planning, permitting, design, and construction of residential building projects. In this position you will have an opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team of industry professionals.
The position will report to Focal’s Senior Cost Manager and the work includes performing cost estimating, cost planning, drafting BoQ’s, certification/invoice analysis & processing, on site measurements, development of progress cost reports. The specific responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Key accountabilities:
- Prepare cost estimates for construction projects during all phases
- Develop and manage budgets throughout project lifecycles
- Prepare and analyse Bills of Quantities (BOQ’s) using various industry standards (NRM, CSI, UNIFORMAT)
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost control and financial reporting
- Utilize CostX for estimating and cost planning
Qualifications:
- Degree in Architecture or Engineering or QS
- 8+ years of experience in cost engineering for construction projects
- Experience in budgeting, cost estimation, and BOQ preparation
- Proficiency in costing software such as CostX will be a plusPostgraduate in a Construction or Cost discipline will be a plus
- RICS and PMP certifications will be a plus
- Full-time office-based role in Athens, Greece

- How proficient are you in CostX? Have you used it for detailed cost planning and BOQ preparation?

- Are you fluent in both Greek and English?
- Are you willing to work full-time from our Athens office?
