The new system of ‘Transport and 'smart' OASA stops for buses and trolley buses of Attica Telematics’ has been launched in Athens, Greece. This puts an end to the waiting passengers and facilitates journey planning, while the project is expected to be fully operational in April 2016.

The implementation and operation of the project is via a PPP scheme (Public Private Partnership), with the private sector to undertake the detailed design, purchase and installation of equipment, maintenance, technical support and the necessary equipment and software updates for 10.5 years of operation. After the expiry of the initial 12-year construction and operation period, the infrastructure will pass to the State who will take over the operation and maintenance. The project will be repaid based payment mechanism during the period of operation (availability pay).
