Greek Economy Picking Up

18th February 2014

With the eurozone economy improving even though at a very slow pace, Southern Europe is thought to be past the worst, and hope is growing again for a slow revival of the real estate industry in 2014. This is equally valid in the case of Greece that was recently given a shy vote of confidence by PWC and the Urban Land Institute. The liquidity that has overflowed the international markets is coinciding with a massive flow of equity into property investments funds that are scanning the market for distress opportunities in the country. Athens is moving from the shadows into the mainstream, where prices and lot sizes, but also risk is more manageable in the residential and offices sectors, boosting the city to number 13 for new investments.
